Greetings!

It is with great excitement and optimism that I head into the new school year, eager to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and the vibrant Walker community. Together, we share a powerful vision: to ensure every student at Walker Middle School has a promising and successful future. Achieving this vision is truly a team effort, and I am confident that, with your partnership, we can make it a reality.

At Walker, our commitment is to nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Our talented educators and staff strive every day to create a welcoming, safe, and inspiring environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. We believe in fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high expectations, and we celebrate the unique strengths each student brings to our school.

I am incredibly proud of the progress we made together last year, with growth in all content areas. Looking ahead, our goal for the 2025–2026 school year is to “BUZZ” our way to a “B”—a goal I know we can achieve with the continued support of our entire school community.

Parents, your involvement is vital to our success. I encourage you to join our School Advisory Council (SAC) and become an active partner in shaping the future of Walker Middle School. Thank you for your ongoing support and for believing in the greatness of our students. Together, let’s make this year our best yet—because at Walker, GREAT things happen every day!

Best Regards,
Kristi F. Brown-Smith
